On one fine day last year, my friend said to me implying that there are people currently living on earth who have absolutely no means of salvation. That no matter what they did, no matter how much they tried, they would never be forgiven. From what he understood, this people were bound to go to hell and there was no stopping it - for they had committed the unforgivable sin.
This was the most difficult thing I had ever heard. It seemed to contradict the very nature God: loving, merciful, kind, and forgiving. Being trained by my mother in the ways of philosophy (Lolx. Why do I make it sound like an ancient martial art culture?), I decided to keep an open mind and research. There was no harm in looking into it. I was sure of finding my answers if I diligently sought them (Hebrews 11:6).
One year later, this blog post.
There are many teachings on this topic. Just keep in mind that I would never write a speculation. If the matter is uncertain, it's not for me to discuss. If I'm 100% sure, however, Deo volente nothing can stop me from saying it.
First of all, what are the other arguments?
The pharisees did not accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah even after seeing all the things he had done. They were presented with the power of the Holy Spirit, working through the saving Messiah, time and time again and continuously rejected him; rejecting the very power of God to convict them of their sins and forgive them.
I invite you read this wonderful article. It is the most comprehensive I have seen on the topic it covers. You'll gain a lot from it.
